A woman sentenced 12 Yr. for slaughtering a cow!A woman in Nepal sentenced 12 year jail term for slaughtering a cow, reported metroXpress on 4th.The woman denied the charge, but no avail. I think that cow was sick and the poor lady slaughtered it to make up her loss but the Nepali Brahmins stood in way and reported her to police. The police charged her of slaughtering of the "GaoMata", the cow, because according to Nepali law the slaughtering of a cow is a crime punishable.I should also have condemned the episode, if it was just case of brutality against animals but I don’t think the problem is simply brutality against animals but the Hindu Dharma which allows the burning of widows but abhors slaughtering of cow to maintain human life.
